I'm in the process right now of getting a ton of immunizations for Red River this fall as I'm intending to take their Medical Laboratory Sciences course. While talking to my bank about getting a student line of credit from them, I'm told I need proof of enrollment. So yesterday I'm in the exchange and I go down to the Red River campus there. Ask the mouthy women (Honestly. They kept taking shots at me for some reason... wasn't cool after making fun of me for 15 minutes straight) there about this and found out that, despite my being told months prior that I was going to be In this course in the fall, I'm not at all registered for this course starting in the fall. I'm not registered because I'm taking two courses that I need to have to be in the program right now. What the fuck. I have solid 4.+ grade average and you won't give me a seat? Now I might have to wait another year?

Maybe it's a good thing. Maybe I should go on a fun trip. Jessica H. from FP is going on a bike tour from Vancouver to San Francisco this summer... that could be fun.

Things continue to be real good since my good time talks last week. I've been way more upbeat and feeling like myself again. Maybe ye olde Doctor D had something to do with it as well.

I've been keeping up my school work really well this term. I'm pretty happy about this but it is eating almost all of my time between that and school. Fortunately this makes me Really appreciate my time off. Proof of this was me singing a song and dancing in bed this morning (waking up Kat) when Dean called me up and asked me if I wanted to stay home. I did. And it was good.

Edit: Whoa forgot what prompted me to post in the first place. This new season of Lost is too good!

I was completely wiped all weekend. Just dead on my feet tired and workin' like a dawg. Just the thought of not working today made me feel much better.

Opa's funeral was... in my opinion, what I think he would have certainly approved of. Too many times I almost burst into tears. Not so much because Opa is gone so much as I feel really bad for Oma. I hate to think of how lonely she's got to be feeling without him.
I feel much more comfortable around Kat's family now, it seems. While the other grandchildren's partners are considered to be part of the family... the same was not so true for me during this whole thing. I can understand this but at the same time. Come on. Kat and I have been together for over two and a half years. Some of the other (specifically the over religious/in denial) ones are still holding on to that glimmer of a chance that maybe... just maybe... We're Really good friends! While this is true it is also true that, as Genifer said, there are only two bedrooms in the house... One of them is occupied by Elizabeth. Work it out.

School starts in two days and I still don't feel I had much of a summer. Constantly busy and rarely with an honest day off. So I'm starting to just sort of go without sleep in order to have fun when I feel reasonably up to it. This actually works out a lot better.... It's gonna be a busy three years.

The house is looking amazing with the furniture all laid out. I'm sure Kat will post pictures soon. This is good because I'm so very lazy. Kitchen needs more counter space but kitchens usually do. That's pretty much the only thing I can (legitimately) complain about. Everything else is really good.

School starts before too long and I'm sort of looking forward to it and sort of not. There are so many things left to do this summer and I haven't had a honest day off in I don't know how long. I'm thinking that I should definitely get started on at least that. It should not be so friggin' hard to have a day off. Maybe it just isn't in the cards yet.

I had more to say but have apparently forgotten most of it. Something about TarantulaLand... I dunno.

People should come visit me! I'm definitely all alone here. I have cartoons, coffee and... surprising high quality toilet paper.
Wowwie wow Wow!

Ok so... you should know this is a post about new toys and the such that I just picked up before you actually start reading.

I went garage sailing with my Dad and brother Dave last weekend and found a Beeeeautiful chest of drawers that's all solid wood, non of that particle board shit (this is Including the back panel), that is in Perfect condition. It's moving in with Kat and I no matter what she says. Way too nice not to.

My bike has been.... screwed up ever since I had a spoke on the front wheel repaired. Yeah, my bike has been broken ever since it was fixed, no fun. I talked to Anna at Natural today and she had definitely never dealt with the problem I was having. She gave some pretty solid advice which I followed and seems to have fixed my problem. Go Anna and more so, Go go Dmitri. 115 PSI and no explosions. Good show.

I finally have strep throat! This is great and about Friggin' time! For every serious illness I've had over the past 8 years (that wasn't obviously a flu), I was told I had Strep! And that I had to go to the clinic Right away because I Totally have STREP! I've never had it. Not once.
So this time I get sick and a couple people are all... "Hey... You could have strep, you know?" but I know that's bullshit. I'd just go waste my time at the clinic and be told "Hey you big puss-in-boots! It's just a cold. Stop wasting my Friggin' time!" or something along those lines. So I don't go.
Two weeks pass and I can still hardly swallow anything or even speak by the end of the day. So I check it out and behold.
STREP THROAT CITY. I'm honestly excited about this.

On with the list of great things:
I immediately got the new volume of Flight when it came out. It was Very enjoyable. Keep up the good work.
And speaking of Kazu's good work I finally grabbed Amulet while I was at it. Beautiful and an excellent intro to a new story.
AND keeping up with the graphic novel trend I decided it was time to pick up Tekkon Kinkreet. It hasn't let me down yet.
I finished Dance, Dance, Dance not too long ago so it was time for some more Murakami. Specifically more would be A Wild Sheep Chase and Sputnik Sweetheart. Really into Wild Sheep Chase right now.

The only thing I need now (to pretty much complete my life) is.... A set of Monkeylectric Bike Wheel Lights.
I know I attract a fair amount of attention already but come on... tell me that wouldn't be amazing.
